*For Petunia’s purposes, a visit to a country can be accomplished by fulfilling one or more of the following criteria: a) securing an official visa and/or entry stamp which may or may not be attached to your passport; b) stepping foot outside the airport/train station/bus station/roadside visa checkpoint/boat dock/etc. long enough to drink a beer (Or a coffee. Or a soft drink. Or whatever. You get the picture). 

†I consider having “lived” in a country if I am there for more than 3 months. However, I have yet to live in a country for less than 7 months. These countries are also highlighted red on the map at the beginning of the page.
